Description
From the Zerfreila chapel, the varied trail leads in an easterly direction up to the Guraletschsee lake with the imposing Fanellhorn pyramid in the background. Past the Finsterbachstafel and with a view of the idyllic slopes of Alp Guraletsch, the maximum altitude is reached in the first section of the route. The dynamic hiking trail then crosses the western foothills of the Guraletschhorn, in whose basin you will find the Ampervreilsee. The following stage is similar to the previous one, but in the shadow of the Ampervreilhorn it offers more and more spectacular views of the village over a thousand meters below. A short time later, you reach Lake Selva and the subsequent descent into Peiltal. The Hohbüel, not far from the lake, is always worth a detour for those with particular stamina. The trail now descends steadily to the Heinisch Stafel and branches off to the right to the Stafel of Alp Selva. The gravel road that starts here winds its way down the steep slope in numerous hairpin bends and only flattens out again at the junction before the Bodahus. From here, the route continues into the valley, gently descending past the "Peilerchappeli" to its destination in Inder Peil.
