Description

The first part of the ascent can be completed in comfort by gondola lift to Rossweid, where an aperitif awaits you at the start of your journey. You’ll then cross the moors between Rossweid and Salwideli with their pretty flowers. As you walk among the blueberries in the woods of the highland moor, you’ll feel yourself transported to another world of gnarled mountain pines. In fine weather, you can also enjoy wonderful panoramic views, including the impressive limestone fields of the Schrattenfluh and the steep flanks of the Brienzer Rothorn.

After just under an hour, you will reach the Salwideli-Beizli, where the starter is served. In the second stage, the landscape becomes gentler and more open before you descend about 200 metres to Hotel Rischli, where your first course awaits. Depending on the season (summer / autumn / winter), a different menu awaits hikers, with seasonal regional dishes with ingredients from the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. The trail continues along the Waldemme Valley to the centre of Sörenberg, just over two kilometres away, which is also the last stop on the journey. The Bäckerstube restaurant rounds off the great hiking experience on a sweet note – the dessert course.

In summer you can choose to complete the gourmet circular hike during the day. In winter, the hike takes place on prepared hiking tracks. A prior online booking of the package for CHF 75.00 is mandatory.
