Description

You can enjoy a special cultural journey on one of the largest rivers in Europe. A unique concentration of sights line the banks of the Rhine between Lake Constance and the Rhine Falls.

You start in the thousand-year-old town of Stein am Rhein, which is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland. On the crystal-clear water, you glide pleasantly carried by the current, past historic houses, monasteries and fortifications. Interrupted only by charming nature and inviting bathing beaches. Numerous restaurants right on the water provide culinary delights. Most of them have their own jetties.

A stroll through the alleyways of the old town is also recommended in the arrival town of Schaffhausen. Finally, you can climb up to the old fortress, the Munot, and let your gaze wander over the Rhine once again. Or you can make a detour to the Rhine Falls. Twenty-three meters of water plunge into the depths and offer an impressive natural spectacle.
