Stechelberg - Oberhorn lake in the UNESCO aerea

Gentle climb along good footpath to Trachsellauenen (1201 m) and then continue on the left side of the valley high above the Ammerta to Hotel Tschingelhorn (1680 m) and on to Hotel Obersteinberg (1778 m). From here onwards a narrow footpath takes you to the Oberhorn lake (2066 m), a jewel that holds a particular attraction.

Highlights: Mountain hotels: Trachsellauenen,Tschingelhorn and Obersteinberg. Alpine farms offering refreshments on Oberhorn, Holdrifälle.

Note(s) Partly very narrow footpaths. Route A is a demanding walk.
