Scenic toboggan run
The cable car takes you from the car-free chalet village of Gstaad up in comfort to the Eggli mountain station (1557 m above sea level). The descent of the toboggan run begins a few metres behind the cosy mountain restaurant, from whose sun terrace you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view. The Sanetsch Alpine Pass and the Spitzhorn, among others, appear in the field of vision of countless mountain peaks in the Bernese, Valais, Vaud and Fribourg Alps.
The toboggan run, which is suitable for families and adventure sledgers, leads through secluded forests and the tranquil Gstaad mountain world. From above, the view extends into the side valleys to Turbach, Lauenen and Gsteig. After about an hour of enjoyable driving, the toboggan run, which is also used by hikers, ends in the Grund district of Gstaad.
From there it is a short walk back to the Eggli valley station or to the centre of the famous ski resort of Gstaad. The return journey takes a few minutes.
