Description
Jamspitze, Silvrettahorn, Piz Buin: The three-thousanders of the Silvretta can be comfortably collected on a varied circular route. A perfect starting point for the ski touring paradise Silvretta with its 64 three-thousanders is the Bielerhöhe. From here, ski tourers spread out into the valleys, with most favoring one goal: the Piz Buin. As the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, it is at the top of the summit wish list. You could also say that only when that is ticked off do the ski tourers have eyes for the other objectives. The Bielerhöhe is already in season in midwinter when the huts in the Silvretta still hibernate. They then open from mid-February and thus enable beautiful crossings, although there is no one perfect crossing here. The possibilities are so numerous that, depending on snow conditions and ability, you can put together your own round. And you quickly realize that the Silvretta also has calm corners.
