Safiental Legend Trail

Like many other mountain valleys, the Safiental has a rich and varied treasure trove of legends and stories. Legends are not simply fairy tales. Although some of these orally transmitted tales can also be found in other valleys, they always have a direct relationship to the landscape and thus a special significance.

Ten illustrated panels point out the legends at the place where they happened. If you take a look around, you will understand why there are so many stones in the Bächer forest, for example, or why you can imagine the Wättermannli on Camana.
