Rinerhorn – Hubelhütte – Abirügg – Rinerhorn

With wide paths, petting zoo and playground, this hike is great for families!

At the mountain station of the Rinerhorn cable car you first follow the signs to the petting zoo, which you reach after a few meters. With children, the first stop must be made here, because the alpacas, goats and pigs are happy to be petted.

Passing the petting zoo and alpine roses, the ascent follows on a hiking trail to the Hubel hut. The path is easy to walk on - but not suitable for baby carriages!At the Hubelhütte you have a breathtaking view of Davos and the surrounding mountains. In good weather, the Hubelhütte is open in summer from Friday to Sunday (09:00 - 16:30). After the refreshment follows the descent on a wide forest path in the direction of Äbirügg, where there is also a barbecue area with tables and firewood - ideal for families!From Äbirügg you then hike comfortably on a wide gravel road back to the mountain station. Anyone with a stroller can reach the barbecue area at Äbirügg via this path.Why not enjoy a coffee with a piece of homemade cake in the restaurant Jatzmeder or a round of swinging at the playground before the ride down to the valley? The ice cream at Jatzmeder is also very popular with children.
