The Rigi Scheidegg Path

At the beginning of this hiking trail, it leads you from the lake to the former silk factory. A geological information board provides information how the water generates electricity power for the silk factory. After a steep ascent you will reach remote cottages, which are still inhabited and managed all year round. The trail leads through the Schlaetterwald forest to Gaetterli - a traditional mountain inn.

Alternatively, there is a mountain path leads to the Hochflue vista point or down to Lauerzersee and Goldau. The hiking trail to Alp Chellensack and on to Hoecheli leads past lush green meadows and the typical orchids,, which is also known as Rigirollen. Along the mountain ridge you will have an impressive panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Lucerne. After this impressive mountain hike you will reach the cosy mountain inn Rigi Burggeist. After another half hour you will be arrived at your destination: the magnificent vista point of Rigi Scheidegg Arche.
