Description

The PostBus takes you from S-charl to Val Mingèr in a few minutes. At the valley entrance of Val Mingèr, the path leads over the dam wall directly into the national park. On the left, caves appear as if carved in stone, the head of a witch can be made out. Idyllically, along the course of the stream, the path goes uphill to the resting place Punt Mingèr. The meadow of this resting place is home to many marmots, while on the opposite slope many deer often graze, especially later in the summer. The path goes west to the Sur il Foss crossing. From here the path leads steadily downhill to Alp Plavna and further out the long Val Plavna towards Tarasp. The plain near Pradatsch, also called «la Sahara», has its very own charm. The stream is often not visible here under the scree - you can only hear it rushing below you. As soon as the forest becomes denser, the Alp Laisch appears. From here on, the trail descends steadily, past Resgia Plavna via God Plan to the hike's destination in Tarasp Fontana (PostBus connection to Scuol every hour).

Note:

Dogs are not allowed in the Swiss National Park, not even on a leash. Further information on this and all protection regulations can be found at nationalpark.ch/protection-regulations.
