Mürren - Lobhorn hut Loop (7h)

At first the trail leads up towards Allmendhubel, however it branches off a little earlier. Until Pletschalp you follow the signpost to Mountain View Trail; there are no significant uphill or downhill sections to negotiate. Then the route continues via Marchegg down to Sousläger. The ascent up to the Lobhorn Hut is about 250 vertical metres. From the Lobhornhut there's a breath-taking view of the beautiful Lobhorn peaks and, of course, of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Aside from delicious meals and snacks, the hut also offers beds for overnight guests. The descent is via Chüebodmi back to Sousläger, and finally to Grütschalp. From Grütschalp, a pleasant walking path leads back to Mürren. There's also the option of taking a train for the stretch Grütschalp - Mürren.

• The Sulsseewli is only about 10 minutes away from the Lobhorn hut and absolutely worth seeing

• The hut is guarded from June to mid-October

• From Isenfluh a cable car leads to Sulwald. From there it takes about 1,5h to the hut.
