Lugano Trekking – Stage 1

The first stage links the village of Brè with Pairolo mountain hut where you can spend the night. You can reach Brè by car, bus or funicular, after which things get decidedly serious. The stretch through beach forest up to the top of Monte Boglia is tough, but you will be rewarded for your efforts with stunning views. After skirting the spectacular rock formations of the Denti della Vecchia, you’ll arrive at Pariolo mountain hut, a cherished refuge.
