Lötschen Pass Trail

This high-alpine, impressive and beautiful snowshoe tour leads from the mountain station on the Hockenhorngrat ridge past the Hockenhorn down to the Lötschenpass at just under 2700 metres above sea level. After a rest in the cosy Lötschenpasshütte, the ascent back to the Hockenhorngrat at 3100 metres above sea level awaits.

Please note the following important information for an unforgettable experience: This route is in high alpine terrain and only open in good weather conditions. We recommend that you start on the Hockenhorngrat by 10.30 a.m. at the latest (10.00 a.m. from Wiler). We strongly recommend that you set off from the Lötschenpasshütte and return to the Hockenhorngrat by 1.30 p.m. at the latest. Last descent from Hockenhorngrat to Wiler at 3.50 pm. Alternatively, an overnight stay in the Lötschenpasshütte is recommended.
