Ascent from bus stop «Abzweigung Gleckstein»

Many paths lead to Rome; almost as many lead to the Gleckstein hut. The shortest variant starts at the bus stop "Abzweig Gleckstein". At the beginning the path meanders leisurely upwards. Soon the gradient increases and the mountain path becomes more exposed. Good surefootedness is a basic requirement here. In narrow places wire ropes provide the necessary safety. At the Engi it is worth a first break. Just below is the old top station of the planned cable car up the Wetterhorn. This is now only used as a shelter for ibexes. After the flat descent, the path starts to rise again from the "Wyssbach" shower. Rocky areas with grassy sections alternate constantly. Before the last key passage, the gallery, a short photo stop pays off. The last meters to the hut wind their way over open terrain to the finish. You have to go back the same way as you came.
