Best Time of Year
Description
The route first climbs briefly, then follows a relatively flat path into the Val Minor valley. Marmots are common in the valley; you can constantly hear them whistling or see one disappearing down a burrow. The flowers, too, are magnificent and plentiful. Further on in the valley, you pass little lakes until you reach the Lej Minor. On the opposite slope, there are remains of old ore mines. After Fuorcla Minor, you traverse a steep slope, which requires surefootedness and a head for heights. After this section, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and the view of Piz Cambrena. It is a pleasant, easy hike towards the pass road, always remaining above it until the path descends again to the valley station of the Lagalb cable car.
