Jörigletscher round tour

The Jöriseen round tour is the hike par excellence in summer. In contrast to the summer, however, it is much quieter in winter. But the landscape is by no means less breathtaking.

The start of the Jörisgletscher round tour is at Tschuggen in the Flüela Valley. Follow the pass road, which is closed to motor vehicles, until just before the Rossboden. From there you climb up to 2,349 m. From there the route heads east under point 2,507 and east of the mountain range with point 2,712 rather steeply into the Winterlücke and further on to the saddle south-east of point 2,940 m. The first ascent is completed. Now it is time for the beautiful descent over the Jörigletscher to the Jöriseen. From there the route goes up to Wäschuchi (ridge gap south of point 2'771). This is followed by the second descent through the Müllersch Tälli to the Flüela Pass road and on to Tschuggen.
