Gempen-Nordtrail-Tour

Herrenmatt near Hochwald not only offers a 9-hole swing golf course, but also a fantastic view of the Birseck, the Leimental, nearby Alsace and the Rhine plain. A little later on the Schartenflue/Gempen, the view is even better and you can take a break before getting down to business: the Gempen-Nordtrail. It was the first of its kind in north-western Switzerland - built by a pioneering group that is now organized under Trailnet. The first downhill section is the Blackberry Trail and after a middle section comes the Banana Trail, named after the banana bridge that crosses the Birs at the end.
