Autumn leaves and bench with a view

The hiking trail from Schwellbrunn via Untere Müli to Fuchsacker and across the hill back to the village offers wonderful views. And with 570 metres of climbs and descents it is no mean feat. Just as well that plenty of benches invite the weary walker to rest and take in the view. Nature presents itself in the most beautiful autumn colours, with pristine farmhouses scattered all around the lovely hills. Cows, sheep and goats graze on the meadows as the farmers bring in the last of the hay and silage and spread fertiliser. Winter is no longer far off. Schwellbrunners are hospitable folk. Weary hikers can rest and sample local food and drink specialities in many places along the way. This trail alone passes ten restaurants.
