Glacier Bike Tour Etappe 4. Thusis - Bonaduz

Thusis and the Vorderrhein are quickly left behind in the valley, as the 4th stage begins directly with the ascent to the Heinzenberg. The pleasant gradient takes you higher and higher, gaining views with every metre.

Down in the valley, the Domleschg spreads out beautifully between Thusis and Rothenbrunnen. But the picturesque villages along the route are also worth seeing. In Flerden and Sarn there are small farm shops and fountains where you can fill up with water. The route then continues along the high-level path through the forest - and as soon as it clears, the view opens up to Chur, Reichenau and Bonaduz in the valley. Straight ahead to the north is the impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sardona with the striking Tschingelhörner peaks.

Shortly afterwards, you reach the Alpbeizli il Bot, where the view is best enjoyed with carrot cake or cheese specialities. It doesn't hurt to put on weight, then it's all the easier to roll down to sunny Bonaduz at the end of the Rhine Gorge.
