Evolution path short route: permanently closed

Permanently closed: The evolution path is closed with immediate effect; there is no longer any information about the theme trail on site. The Fricktaler Höhenweg, along which the evolution path ran, remains open.

On the evolution path, the history of human origins can be experienced up close: every meter corresponds to one million years, every milestone represents an important event in Earth's history. The path begins at Hotel Eden im Park, Rheinfelden (long route from the Big Bang, 14 km) or at the Zeiningen Mitteldorf bus stop (short route from the formation of our solar system, 4.5 km) and ends with the appearance of modern humans on the Chriesibärg in Zuzgen. It serves both as an educational experience for leisurely walkers and was designed in cooperation with the Schützen Rheinfelden Clinic as a therapeutic hiking trail.
