Experience Energy Entlebuch

The energy path is a hiking trail that connects the various stations of the Entlebuch Energy Experience Park. In total, there are six experience platforms that provide orientation about six energy sources: Earth & Moor, River & Water, Light & Sun, Air & Wind, Gas & Fire, Forest & Wood. In the sun garden, those who like to experiment can try out a burning glass, at the imposing wind wheels at Feldmoos one can compose melodies on a pipe seesaw by using one's own body, and in the moor area Mettelimoos the beneficial effect of the moor can be enjoyed in the pedal pool. Furthermore, the drilling platform near Finsterwald informs about the only place in Switzerland where natural gas has ever been extracted; the hole goes 5289 m deep into the ground. In Chilewald, wooden beiges show the energy consumption of houses with different energy standards. Following the water along the canal path, you finally reach the Farb small hydroelectric power station, built in 1903.
