Description

The first stage of the Entlebuch-Emmental high-level trail starts in the middle of the village of Doppleschwand and leads directly out into the beautiful natural landscape. Once you have climbed the first few meters, you are immediately treated to fantastic views over the hilly landscape. Again and again the trail leads through the secluded forests and then suddenly the terrain opens up again and the impressive mountain panorama spreads out.

After the first section of forest, you find yourself above the village of Entlebuch and catch a great view of the village with its imposing dispatch center, the even more imposing wind turbines on the opposite side of the valley and the enchanting peaks of Risete, Schafmat and Co. With this view, you march on towards Habschwanden / Hasle and soon enter a longer section of forest again. The scent of moss and earth and the calming rustle of the leaves accompany you at every turn. At Schüpfergg, you return to open terrain and are rewarded with an incredible view. To the right is the expansive Napf region and to the left the village of Schüpfheim with Farnere, Beichle and in between a distant view as far as the Brienzergrat and the Bernese Alps. To mark the 100th anniversary year of Schüpfheim Tourism, a huge Swing the World swing was erected here, with a direct view of the village and the surrounding mountains. Of course, it has to be tried out immediately!

It's not far now. Two short forest sections lead you to Obstaldenegg. There is also a lovely barbecue area here for a longer rest.

The second stage takes you from Obstaldenegg in Schüpfheim to Turner in Escholzmatt.
