Description
You can enjoy plenty of sunshine, far-reaching views and a splendour of flowers on the high-altitude hike from the Tällihütte to the Wendenläger at the foot of the Titlis.
On the sunny south-facing slopes at the foot of the Gadmerfluh are alpine meadows that not only delight hikers with a colourful display of flowers in summer, but also attract countless butterflies. One of these green areas is the Heuwvorsess, which covers around 8 hectares. Herbs and flowers spice up the fresh mountain air with a delicate fragrance. The view down to the valley floor and the view of the Titlis and the Susten area are magnificent. The Dexter cows that graze here also eat plants that ordinary cows disdain, thus preventing the valuable dry sites from becoming overgrown with forest. The magnificent mountain pasture was awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2007. It is located on the high-level trail that leads from the Tällihütte into the valley via the Alpstafel Alpligen to Raflue, Mettlenberg and the Gschletter to the Feldmoosweid. From there, the trail descends via Saageli to Obermaad.
