Description

From Ermatingen, the trail leads up to Castle Arenenenberg, which is situated above Lake Constance with a wonderful view. A short break here is particularly worthwhile: you can experience an original scene from the life of the Bonaparte family in the Napoleon Museum. But also a walk through the gardens, which were originally created by gardeners back in times of Napoleon the third, is very recomendable.

From Castle Arenenberg the hiking trail descends again to Lake Constance and leads in some parts directly at the shores of the lake, partly south of the road to Berlingen. Leaving the village, the path climbs the hill and high above you pass the white rock, a beautiful vantage point. Arriving in Steckborn, you can admire remains of the town walls with powder towers and many old town houses worth seeing. In the western part of Steckborn, directly at the lake, you will find the Feldbach area. Embedded in a wonderful park landscape you can go for a swim, take a sunbath or get a cold drink.
