Bondo - Capanna Sasc-Furä

The alpinist adventures at Piz Badile have drawn climbers of all nationalities to the Val Bondasca. Today, people meet on summer evenings in the cozy rooms of the Sasc Furä hut to set off the next morning for one of the many climbing routes on Badile or Cengalo.

The hike to the hut itself is also a worthwhile destination. The path follows old trail markings on the western side of the Val Trubinasca and meets at its highest point the path from the Trubinasca Pass to the Sasc Furä hut. The old hut route via Val Bondasca has been impassable and closed since the rockfall at Cengalo!

On a small ridge extension, the Sasc Furä ridge facing the unmistakable Badile north face, there is an excellent view and you can watch climbers on their various ascents. The mountain hut also serves as a base for the route over the Passo della Trubinasca.
