Description
From the top end of the cable railway 'Saaser Alp' you walk across grazing land to the farm 'Untersäss' where fresh milk is available. Between the cowshed and the farm there is a path along the left of the slope leading you to the vantage point 'Mässplatten'. Here begins the descent zigzag, along the rocks. At the bottom you cross the steep scree of the 'Saaser Calanda' on narrow paths in a steady up and down. You are advised to be cautious. With some of the wire cables there is some support fixed. You then walk among low pines and meadows up to the hamlet 'Zastia' where you find a self-service for drinks.
Now follows a strenuous but rewarding ascent over the grazing land 'Hüschicalanda' to the top of the pass Fürggli. A short detour to the 'Jägglischhorn (2290 m) is worth the effort. On your descent you get to the alp 'Ascharina' from where you walk downhill on a gravelled path along the brook. Shortly before you get to the farm 'Vordersäss' there is a fork.
Next to the farm starts the narrow path along the fence across the meadow. After about half an hour this trail takes you in a little valley down to the road of 'Inner Ascharina' from where you reach St. Antönien Post in about ten minutes.
