Three Weieren
An oasis of calm above the city of St. Gallen
On a high plateau below the Freudenberg is a magnificent landscape of ponds. The Drei Weieren are the ideal recreational area for city dwellers. In summer, the landscape becomes a popular swimming spot and in winter - when the water is frozen - an ice-skating venue. A relaxing walk with a wonderful panoramic view of the whole town is worthwhile at any time of year.
Getting there: take the Voralpen-Express or the Alpenrhein-Express to St. Gallen
