Since 1887, the Textile Museum St.Gallen has hosted one of the most important textile collections in Switzerland in the "Palazzo Rosso". Fabrics and embroideries from all over the world, pattern books, design drawings and photographs illustrate the fortunes of the Swiss textile industry between regional ties and international interconnections.
It hosts two to three special exhibitions a year, which thematically complement the permanent exhibition on the history of textiles in eastern Switzerland. A varied programme of events, educational activities and an attractive shop complete the textile museum's offer.
