Hiking in the Schächental including train, bus and cable car

Start the day at a leisurely pace with a journey on the Treno Gottardo. After arriving, take the bus to Bürglen and then the cable car to Biel. Variety on the hike
The route passes through varied landscapes, from flowering Alpine pastures and sparse woodlands to open mountain trails. The section between Heidmannegg and the meadow slopes that follow offers a particularly beautiful mix of nature and panoramic views, ideal for those who like to take time to marvel at their surroundings while out walking.
Rest stop at Fleschseeli
At the highest point of the route, the idyllically situated Fleschseeli lake invites you to take a break. Next to the lake is a barbecue area where you can enjoy the food you have brought with you. Alternatively, you can eat at the nearby Fleschkiosk and redeem your 15 Swiss franc voucher included in the offer.
Fantastic finish
Right next to the Eggberge mountain station is the cosy Eggberge restaurant, where you can refuel after your hike. At the end of the hike, the village offers a fantastic view of Lake Uri, the Reuss Valley and the surrounding mountains, ideal for a relaxing coffee break with a panoramic view.
