On a gourmet tour in Ticino

Particularly enjoyable moments

The Ticino Gourmet Tour brings together around 70 restaurants in four regions of Ticino. What they all have in common is a desire to maintain the authenticity of Ticino's food and wine and to offer particularly enjoyable moments. Angelo Trotta, director of the Ticino Tourism Office, sums it up: ‘The Ticino Gourmet Tour is an ambitious initiative whose main goal is to further promote the concept of Ticino cuisine and wine. Authentic, unique and unmistakable Ticino hospitality: in the dishes, in the local products used, in the savoir-faire, in the welcome, in the service, in the atmosphere.’ A visit to a restaurant with the Ticino Gourmet Tour seal should be a special experience. A detailed website (ticionogourmettour.ch) offers an overview and lots of background information. Some chefs also reveal recipes, anecdotes and tricks from the kitchens in videos, albeit in Italian.
