A unique golfing experience in the heart of Ticino's natural beauty
The Treno Gottardo takes you south to play golf. The Gerre Losone golf course, just 10 minutes from Ascona and Locarno, was built in 2001 in a picturesque landscape surrounded by green valleys and chestnut forests. The 18 challenging holes (PAR 72) offer golfers an extraordinary experience. The course, which won the ‘Swiss Golf Course of the Year’ award in 2014, impresses with its Mediterranean character, with numerous palm and olive trees.
With the Gerre Losone golf experience, you will be picked up from Locarno station by the golf course's Eco-Taxi service. On the golf course, you will then have the opportunity to discover and enjoy the course to the full thanks to the numerous included services.
The experience includes:
Return journey on the IR 26/46 Treno Gottardo from Zurich or Basel (via Lucerne, Airolo) to Locarno
1 coffee, tea or hot chocolate on the Treno Gottardo
Pick-up service by eco-taxi from the golf course to Locarno and back
18-hole green fee at the golf course
Use of changing rooms, showers and lockers
Manual golf trolley
Use of the TrackMan range
Use of the driving range incl. 24 balls

Gerre Losone Golf Course
The included green fee can be used by anyone aged 12 and over who has passed the course.
A player with a category IV HCP (37.0-54.0) may only access the course if accompanied by another player with an HCP ≤ 30.0 (the 1:1 principle applies). It is possible to play in the afternoon, between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

Tee time reservation
The desired start time can be checked at www.golflosone.ch and ‘Tee Time’. When booking the Gerre Losone golf experience, a tee time is not automatically reserved; the desired start time can be communicated to info@golflosone.ch for reservation after purchase. The tee time fee is included in the price.
Validity of public transport ticket
The ticket is valid for a return journey on the IR26/46 Treno Gottardo for the following route (also valid on SBB trains for connecting trains from Zurich or Basel-Lucerne to Arth-Goldau and back):
Basel– Lucerne–Göschenen–Locarno or
Zurich–Göschenen–Locarno
The outward and return journeys do not have to be taken on the same day.
The price of the special offer is always the same regardless of the boarding point.
Validity and conditions for connecting tickets Voralpen-Express
The connecting ticket for the Voralpen-Express between St. Gallen and Arth-Goldau is only valid in combination with a special Treno Gottardo offer on the same days as the special offer booked.
Valid from one stop on the Voralpen-Express between St. Gallen and Arth-Goldau. The Voralpen-Express runs hourly with a connection in Arth-Goldau to the Treno Gottardo.
To purchase the GA Travelcardoffer, you will need:
a valid GA Travelcard
a Day Pass for the GA area of validity*
*Customers with a Day Pass for the GA area of validity must also be able to produce a valid Half Fare Travelcard.
Restrictions along the route (construction work and events)
For restrictions along the SOB lines, please check the online timetable before your journey and note the information under the current service messages.
If a train is cancelled, a line interrupted, etc., your ticket is valid for the next possible connection, regardless of the type of train and any changes.
Seat reservation
With a seat reservation on the Treno Gottardo, Voralpen-Express, Alpenrhein-Express and IR Aare Linth, travelling is even more comfortable. We recommend reserving a seat, especially at weekends and peak times, in first class as well.
