Eichenhaft observation tower, Maienfeld

From Heidorf, hike across meadows in the direction of Luzisteig. In an old shepherd's hut, you can learn a lot about the old oak trees whose grove you walk through. Continue on to a very special viewpoint - an iron tower that towers above the treetops. A total of 76 steps wind 15 meters up to the viewing platform, where you will be rewarded with a unique view of the Bündner Herrschaft.

In Heidi's footsteps, Maienfeld

The 6.5-kilometre circular route begins at Maienfeld railroad station. Passing Brandis Castle and several magnificent fountains with refreshing drinking water, the trail leads through the vineyards to Rofels. A short, somewhat steep path then leads into the middle of the Heidi village, where the goats are already waiting. The route continues directly to the Heidi fountain and then back to Maienfeld railroad station.

This recreational area with Giessensee lake and Giessenpark forest is nestled in the middle of nature. Nature lovers, connoisseurs, families and walkers will all get their money's worth.
