Damit Züge sicher und pünktlich unterwegs sind, wird das Schweizer Schienennetz regelmässig gewartet und ausgebaut. Während Bauarbeiten kann es zu Fahrplananpassungen und Streckenunterbrüchen kommen. Davon betroffen sind auch Züge der Südostbahn.
Änderungen bei einzelnen Verbindungen oder kurzfristigen Störungen werden im Online-Fahrplan publiziert – wir empfehlen, diesen kurz vor Ihrer Reise zu überprüfen.

Geplante Einschränkungen im Bahnverkehr
Trains on the north-south Gotthard axis will run with an adjusted timetable over the Easter, Ascension and Whitsun holidays. Additional trains will be running in order to offer as many seats as possible.
Individual connections of the IR46 Treno Gottardo will therefore be rerouted between Zurich and Arth-Goldau and will not stop in Zug. Please be sure to check the online timetable.
We recommend that you reserve a seat for all connections. Bicycle transport cannot be guaranteed in the event of high capacity utilization. We ask for your understanding.
Due to construction work on the SBB rail network, rail services on the Ziegelbrücke-Linthal and Ziegelbrücke-Flums lines will be closed from 9 p.m. each evening between March 18, 2025 and April 30, 2025.
This will affect the S6 (Ziegelbrücke-Linthal) trains as well as individual S17 (Rapperswil-Sargans) and IR35 (Zurich HB-Chur) connections.

SBB is upgrading Flums station to implement the Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG) and enable step-free boarding of trains in future.
From April 21, 2025, from 10.40 pm to May 28, 2025, 5.20 am, there will therefore be no trains stopping at Flums station. Replacement buses will be running.

Due to construction work on the SBB rail network, there will be train cancellations and changes to service times in the Basel-Olten region from April 25, 2025 to June 9, 2025.
The Südostbahn IR26 Treno Gottardo will also be affected. IR26 trains will be canceled between Olten and Basel in both directions.

Due to construction work on the SBB rail network, there will be a total closure of the Pfäffikon SZ-Lachen and Pfäffikon SZ-Rapperswil lines on the weekend of April 26/27, 2025. The SOB lines IR35, Voralpen-Express, S6, S17, S40 and all SBB commuter and long-distance trains will be affected.
The SOB trains are affected as follows:
The IR35 Aare Linth is canceled between Pfäffikon SZ and Lachen. Passengers will use the replacement service. Replacement trains will run between Zurich and Chur via Rapperswil.
The Voralpen-Express St. Gallen-Lucerne is canceled between Rapperswil and Biberbrugg. For travelers between St. Gallen and Lucerne, a direct express bus will operate on the Uznach-Biberbrugg route. Passengers between Rapperswil and Pfäffikon SZ can use the replacement service and the S40 to/from Pfäffikon SZ.
The S6 and S17 are canceled between Rapperswil and Ziegelbrücke. Passengers use the replacement service.
The S40 is canceled between Pfäffikon SZ and Rapperswil. Passengers use the replacement service.
Please allow sufficient travel time and check the online timetable for alternative connections before each journey. Due to the volume of traffic on the road, it may not be possible to adhere to the timetable for the replacement service. Bicycles cannot be transported.
