ThiK. Theater im Kornhaus

It is a place of encounter, dialogue and debate. The programme includes all theatre genres from spoken and musical theatre to cabaret and dance. The ThiK is a house with open doors for the new, the daring and the raw.

The Kornhaus itself was built in 1511 as the storeroom of the Agnesenspital, which stood on the church square. The late Gothic wall construction with stepped gables served several purposes over time, including as a prison.

In 1965 the Kornhaus was converted into a youth centre and today the ThiK is located in its vaulted cellar.
