Teddy Bear Museum
Description
The teddy bears are showcased in different cute and funny scenes. For example laundry washing, cake-baking, a marriage or doing homework. All these scenes are also full of objects and toys from old times. The themes change depending on the season or the focus of the content. There is always something new to discover.
Maria Magdalena Kaufmann has been collecting antique teddy bears for over 30 years. There are mainly bears from the time between 1904 and about 1970 and different companies like Steiff, Hermann, Schuco, Bing, Mutzli etc. For the children there are also some younger specimens, which may even be carried around in the museum. For interested visitors and collectors there is a detailed museum guide with exact information about the different manufacturing companies, the special features and the estimated age of the bears.
