Jegenstorf Castle

Description

At the gates of the city of Bern, the Bernese baroque pearl shines in the middle of a green park oasis. The current appearance of the 900-year-old castle complex dates back to the baroque remodelling and extension of 1720 under the ownership of Albrecht Friedrich von Erlach. At the end of the Second World War, the castle served as a command post for General Guisan.

In Jegenstorf Castle, a cultural monument of national importance, you will be enchanted by the precious interiors of bygone times with fine furniture, portrait art and magnificent tiled stoves. Special exhibitions, events and special offers for young and old bring the castle and park to life between May and October. Rooms can be hired for private or business events, meals and drinks receptions. The wedding programme consists of civil and free weddings.

Experience history, discover treasures, celebrate festivals, enjoy nature - an unforgettable leisure experience that can be rounded off with a visit to the castle café.
