Parish church of St. Maria

The new church was a sensation. Its architectural value remains controversial to this day. Some value it as a visionary building, others decry it as a "concrete block". This does the work an injustice. The building is praised by experts and the Nebikon parish church is now considered an architecturally valuable sacred building and a structure worthy of protection.

On the occasion of the "European Heritage Day" in 2018, the cantonal monument preservation authority praised the "high-quality interior design" with "subtle lighting", among other things. This stands for the church's spirit of optimism at the time. The project demonstrated courage and foresight at the time. The building still looks modern today and its functionality has proven its worth in everyday church life.
