NAIRS - Centre for Contemporary Art
Description
Founded in 2005, the Fundaziun Nairs is a synthesis of artists' house, art gallery and cultural laboratory. It connects the Engadine with other cultures around the world. As part of its international artists-in-residence programme, it invites around 30 artists selected by a jury to spend several months in its studios each year. The foundation promotes dialogue and cooperation between the various art disciplines. The Kunsthalle shows contemporary art in exhibition spaces steeped in history and is dedicated to contemporary issues. The Cultural Laboratory is committed to the mediation and further development of local, Rhaeto-Romanic culture and realises a variety of projects.
