Museum on the Gais Village Square

Description

Prints and watercolours show views of the village from the period between 1750 and 1900, when Gais was a very popular whey spa destination. Many of the more than one hundred works were used to illustrate travel journals and history books. Larger-format works were mainly sold to spa guests. Today, they are seen as vivid illustrations of the village’s history. Special exhibitions are centred around a variety of Gais-related topics. Guided tours for groups on request.
