Local museum Adelboden

The local museum Adelboden has a wide range of displays depicting folklore and life in the Engstligen Valley. Opened in 1983, the museum is at the former English church opposite the Rex cinema. Visitors will find a fascinating collection of historically significant objects from the region. In addition to sporting articles, clothes, minerals and plentiful information about the history of Adelboden, there is even a reconstructed mountain hut on display. The museum also covers current topics of interest such as the "avalanche winter" of 1999.
