Carpanee Classroom

A didactic classroom 30 minutes' walk from the village of Meride in the direction of Serpiano, along the transnational geo-pal'ontological path with violet signs (see itinerary). An open-air museum, accessible to everyone, d'y and night, all year round.

An oasis of coolness for young and old, immersed in the nature of Monte San Giorgio, where one can discover the ancient history of the mountain.

On site there is a picnic area with tables and benches (seating for 25), an open-air classroom with chalk board, a research area with fossiliferous rock and the adjacent palaeontological excavations of Cava superiore and Cava inferiore.
