Hallwyl moated castle on Lake Hallwil
Description
Today, the Hallwyl moated castle houses a museum. The diverse exhibition is divided into 11 themes and ranges from the Middle Ages to the modern age. For each exhibition theme, a selected member of the Hallwyl family is presented. In the granary you can learn interesting facts about customs and trade in the Seetal, and on the mill island you can marvel at the castle mill with its water wheel.
Cultural and nature experience
The exhibition is complemented by a varied programme of events and activities for young and old. In addition, various rooms can be booked for festivities and seminars. Information on this can be found on the castle's website.
If you feel like getting out into nature after visiting the museum, it is only a stone's throw from the castle to the nature reserve on Lake Hallwil. Several pretty bathing establishments invite you to enjoy a swim here.
