From Sundlauenen on Lake Thun, hike along nature trails and forest paths towards Beatenberg, the longest village in Europe. With stunning views of the Alpine peaks and the deep-blue waters of the lake, you’ll soon forget the steep and strenuous elements of your hike. The highlight of your adventure is crossing the 31-metre-high suspension bridge over the Sundgraben. The bridge was built in 2017 and is part of the bridge trail around Lake Thun. On the way, you’ll pass numerous places to take a break and admire the views. When you arrive in Beatenberg, you’ll find a choice of restaurants in which you can recharge your batteries for the descent into Beatenbucht.
