Fluonalp

The Fluonalp is located in the middle of lush alpine meadows, adjacent to the nature and wildlife reserve below the Giswilerstock. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view over Lake Sarnen to Pilatus, Rigi and Lake Lucerne.

Alpbeizli Giswiler Älplermagronen or Fluonalper-Chässchnitten with a Cheli are among the house specialties of the Alpbeizli Fluonalp. Enjoy the fantastic view and the traditional alpine fare.

Group accommodation In addition to the existing dormitory for 35 people, the brand new dormitory for a total of 26 people will open in May 2016. Cosy, bright rooms with lots of wood and mountain views await you.

Alpine cheese dairy Do you know how alpine cheese is made? On the Fluonalp, the cows feed on the very best herbs. And if the magnificent view of the Obwalden region has any influence, it is probably the best prerequisite for unique alp cheese. We cordially invite you to visit the cheese dairy at Fluonalp. Make your own cheese. From preparation to labeling, you are involved in the work process. Your alpine cheese will be stored and cared for for a year before you collect it. Cheese-making with a tour of the cheese dairy takes place in the afternoon (please book in advance).
