The chapel belonged to the valley church of St. Vincentius in Pleif as a branch until 1891. Since 1712, however, there has been an independent chaplaincy here, which is served by conventuals from Disentis. Construction of the chapel began in 1669 and was completed in 1670. The chapel was consecrated by Bishop Ulrich de Mont in 1672.

Pierced arched windows. The tower stands on the north-west wall of the chancel and was added in 1700. Arched sound windows, slender pointed spire.

The high altar is a two-column wooden aedicule in the early Baroque style. The altarpiece depicts Anthony of Padua.
