Description
Burgdorf Castle is a nationally recognised architectural monument and an impressive landmark of the town and region. A visit to Burgdorf Castle is an experience for all the senses. Here you can marvel, dine, sleep, marry and celebrate.
In the interesting castle museum, the history of the building and the region is brought to life through multimedia. On over 1,500 square metres, young and old can discover topics such as the Zähringers and the Middle Ages, Pestalozzi and education and the fascination of gold.
A special feature of Burgdorf Castle is that, in addition to a restaurant, it also houses a youth hostel. Themed rooms, such as the "Gümmeler" (cyclist) room, offer a royal overnight stay. The Emmental Civil Registry Office also offers couples the opportunity to say "I do" within the castle walls on selected dates.
