Bruder Klausen Chapel
Description
In spring 1944, a chapel was consecrated in the hamlet of Schülen, halfway between Willisau and Menzberg. The patron saint of the spacious and attractive chapel was Brother Klaus from the Ranft, who was highly revered at the time.
The inhabitants of the neighboring farms were motivated to build the chapel, as it took them up to two hours to walk to the Willisau parish church.
The "Ave Glöcklein" from the old schoolhouse, which weighed two hundredweights, found a new home in the chapel tower.
In 1970/71, the altar area was adapted to contemporary liturgical requirements and invites you to reflect and contemplate on your hike.
